Dental Implants

The recent development of dental implants allows individuals with missing permanent teeth to experience the benefits of a full, functioning mouth once more. If you have lost teeth due to an accident or extensive tooth decay, dental implants may be a solution for you.

Dental Implants are a titanium-based structure that, when implanted into existing bone structure, replace a missing tooth root. Eventually a crown is placed over the titanium implant to restore full function of the missing tooth. Implants can also be used to support a full or partial denture.

Generally x-rays assess the stability of your existing bone structure during your initial consultation. In some cases your periodontist may suggest additional surgery to improve the bone structure to support the implants.
